Attorney Profile

Dennis began his legal career as a Minnesota Department of Revenue Inheritance Tax Examiner. Later, he served as a member of the board of directors for a 25-attorney law firm, where he was responsible for a majority of the firm’s estate planning, particularly wills, trusts, probate, guardianships, and conservatorships. Dennis opened his own practice, Van Orden Law Office, in 1985, and has been empowering his clients to take control of their healthcare rights and assets through proper planning ever since:

“I’ve experienced the hardship of serious illnesses, health deteriorations, and eventual deaths of family members, friends, and clients, many of which I helped prepare for through estate planning. I’ve planned estates of clients with good financial fortune and poor financial fortune; I’ve worked with healthy family situations and troubled family situations; and I’ve witnessed many family breakups over money, possessions, and emotional and psychological issues. Situations like these are never easy, but with proper planning, the transition for survivors can be made easier. I stress the importance of good planning to my own family and friends, and encourage you to do the same.”

With a wife of 41 years, four daughters, and four grandchildren, Dennis cares about your family as he does his own. He builds lasting relationships while managing and distributing estates efficiently and effectively to help keep families like yours together and out of trouble.
